Background
Organisations who need to comply with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) legislation around digital signatures can have their existing Docusign Part 11 account linked up to Plexus. You will need to reach out to [email protected] to have this configured.
If you have a Docusign Part 11 account, your signing experience in Plexus will differ slightly from our regular signing workflow.
Signing a document compliantly with Part 11
If your organisation is using a Part 11 Docusign account, you will receive an email from Docusign when it’s time to sign the document. The email will have a Part 11 logo at the bottom of the email.
As part of Part 11 compliance, you will need to log into your Docusign account each and every time you need to sign a document. Depending on your organisation's Docusign settings, you may also need to log in each time you sign or initial a document.
Providing a reason for signing
As part of the Part 11 compliance requirements, you will need to provide a reason for signing the document. Please select your option from the dropdown provided before you Sign.
This reason for signing will be included on your Docusign signature.
Once you have signed and initialed on all required areas of the document, click Finish.
Troubleshooting
You will not be able to sign your document using Part 11 if:
The signature locations have not been specified on the document. If you suspect this is the case, notify the sender about updating signature locations. Plexus will also notify the sender with email alerts if this has occurred.
