When and how are winners to be published?

NATIONAL
Prizes with a value > $250 need to be published in a newspaper within 30 days of the draw.

NSW

Winners no longer required to be published in NSW.

VIC
Prizes > $1,000, on a website or in a newspaper. 

In the case of a website, winners’ details must be published for a minimum period of 28 days.

Newspaper publication must be in a newspaper circulating generally in Victoria (and may be a national newspaper, e.g. The Australian).

If promotion only advertised in a particular publication, can announce winners in that publication.

ACT
Prizes > $1,000, in a newspaper or in a publication or medium approved by the lottery dept

Results must also be available within 7 days of being determined

SA
Prizes >$250 the location outlined in the Terms and Conditions within 30 days of the draw, unless winner requests details not be published.

NT
“Major prizes” (e.g., > $5,000), in a local or national newspaper, or another location advised to entrants

QLD, WA, TAS
