Supporting files that are related to your matter can be stored so that you have a 360-degree view of the key documents related to your matter.

Typically, supporting material for a matter is uploaded when you request legal support, however you can upload additional supporting files to an existing matter too.

Any supporting material is found to the right hand side of the matter under the heading for Supporting material.

Uploading supporting material to an existing matter

To upload supporting material to an existing matter, drag and drop the file into the box provided or Browse your computer to upload additional files as required.

Top tip! Check out our supported file sizes and types for Matter management, and this guide for limitations when creating workflows from this page.

Viewing supporting material

Once your file has been successfully uploaded into Plexus, you can click the Name of the document to open up a preview of that file in the Document view tab.

Emails uploaded as supporting material are also able to be previewed in this section.

Editing supporting material

Editing is available for .docx files uploaded into the Supporting Material section. Visit this guide for more information on editing supporting material.

Deleting supporting material

To delete supporting material, click the file from the Supporting Material section to preview it on the Document view screen. Then click the button to Delete your file.

Note that this action will not delete any existing workflows where you've previously clicked the Create workflow button for this file.
